PurposeSince 2020, Taiwan has been developing cyber security through a central government initiative known as the Six Core Strategic Industries. To help accomplish this mission, The National Science and Technology Council established the Cyber Security & Smart Technology R&D Building. Since opening on April 24, 2021 in Shalun, Tainan, this building has been cultivating public-private sector collaboration to develop cutting-edge technology. Comprehensive services, from R&D verification to business consultancy, are available for firms housed in this facility. Facilitating scientific collaboration through these services will help Taiwan bolster cyber security and develop smart technology.
FacilitiesThe Cyber Security & Smart Technology R&D Building has approximately 16,525 m² of office and laboratory space. These facilities are available for eligible cyber security firms and smart technology companies.
